Denso standard spark plugs

One of the most important features of Denso spark plugs is the unique U-groove ground electrode. The U-groove provides: improved ignition performance, better fuel economy, smoother running of the engine, reduced emissions. When a spark plug is used, most of the wear takes place on the centre electrode. This is due to the direction of the spark. The centre electrode is therefore made from a high quality copper-cored nickel-chrome alloy. The U-groove is located on the ground electrode because this is the place that is least affected by wear, ensuring that the benefits of the U-groove last the entire lifetime of the DENSO spark plug.
